Beverly Deanna Jensen, 87, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026, surrounded by her beloved family.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2026, at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt. A Graveside Service will follow at Clinton Lawn Cemetery in Clinton.
Born on May 4, 1939, in Boone, Iowa, Beverly was the daughter of Howard and Marie (Anderson) Garvey. She graduated from Clinton High School and married the love of her life, Leroy L. Jensen, on April 22,1961. Together they built a life centered on family, love, and lasting memories.
Bev’s greatest joy was her family. She especially adored her grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with them. She will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and the love she shared so freely with those around her. She also found great comfort and companionship in her beloved Pomeranians, Buffy, Nubbins, and Seanzi.
Bev cherished her role as a homemaker and devoted much of her life to caring for children. She also worked for several years as a childcare provider and enjoyed careers that reflected her love of décor, crafts, and creativity. She enjoyed reading, crafting, and sharing her love of nature and wildlife, especially through feeding birds, and growing flowers. Those who knew Bev will remember her warmth, caring nature, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her love and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
She was greeted in heaven by her mom and dad, Marie and Howard, sister, Marilyn Coleman and brother, Wally Garvey, and her father and mother in-law, Donald and Leona Jensen.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always by her husband, Leroy; her children and their spouses, Renee (Dennis) Spain, Leann (Kurt) Walker, Dea “DeeDee” (Pat) Banowetz, all of DeWitt, and Dave (Carla) Jensen of Low Moor; grandchildren, Nicole (Nick) Curley, Zack (Sarah) Walker, Kelsi (Jon) Verhelst, Mackenzie (Brittany) Walker, Keeley (Nick) Green, Sadie (Jake) Connor, Abie Jensen, Wyatt Jensen, Cori (Cody) Langfitt, and David Zavala; great-grandchildren, Caylee, Nash, Jett, and Willow Curley, Clara and Brooklyn Walker, Decker, Crew, and Remi Verhelst, Noah, Owen, Eli, and Graham Green, Leo Allen and Knox Connor, and Maeve Langfitt; her sister, Carolyn May; brother-in-law, Ronald Jensen; and many nieces and nephews.
