Barry Farley, 55, of Grand Mound, Iowa, died Thursday, October 19, 2023, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life Saturday, October 28, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Grand Mound Community Center, 510 Smith St, Grand Mound, IA 52751.
Barry Lee Farley was born February 1, 1968, in Davenport, Iowa, to Richard “Dick” and Leslie (Jones) Farley. He graduated from North Scott High School, and worked as a dry wall finisher for many years. Barry shared 20 years with Angie Evans, the mother of his four children.
Barry was a musical jukebox, his favorite band was Van Halen. He was a skilled guitar player and was always creating new “strings.” He loved hanging out with his four kids, friends, and spending time with his grandkids. Barry was passionate when it came to his family and also his friends of Grand Mound.
Surviving are Barry’s mother, Leslie Farley of Davenport; his children, Nicholas Lee (Brooke) Evans, Amanda (Tubby) Loeffelholz, Stephanie (Timothy) McCulloh, and Emily Evans, all of Grand Mound; the mother of his children, Angie Evans, of Donahue; grandchildren, Gavin, Kolton, Carter, Kylee, Hailey, Aliviah, JaeLynn, Tatum, and Jase; siblings, Marty (Anna) Farley, and Kim Frieden; a sister-in-law, Tracie Farley; and numerous extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard “Dick” Farley, and brother Richard “Richy” Farley.
