Barb Lippens, 85, of DeWitt, Iowa, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Fieldstone of DeWitt.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt. Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, January 15, 2026, in the funeral home, Pastor Dianne Prichard officiating. Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Petersville.
Barbara Ann Behr was born on October 3, 1940, in DeWitt, Iowa, to Leo and Helene Tanck Behr. She grew up in Clinton County and graduated from DeWitt High School. Barb married Franklin “Frank” Delano Lippens on December 28, 1958. From this union they were blessed with seven children. Frank preceded her in death on October 31, 2025.
Barb was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, flowers, and feeding the birds. She loved her chickens, John Wayne, and Judge Judy. Barb was an avid reader and her legacy will live on with the library she established at Fieldstone.
She is survived by her children, Mark (Julie Brown) Lippens, of Maquoketa; Jeff (Beth) Lippens of Grand Mound; Cindy Williams of Jacksonville, North Carolina; Michele (Gerry “Osky”) Wulf of Calamus; Doug (Heidi) Lippens of Clinton; Ron (Wendi) Lippens of Goose Lake; and Jamie (Amy) Lippens of DeWitt; 25 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Marian Nichols; nieces and a nephew, Sylvia, Rhonda, and Clint, as well as Frank’s nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; sister Jeanne (Max) Cree; half-sister, Helen Behr; brothers-in-law, John (Dorothy) Lippens, Robert Lippens, and Peter (Donna) Lippens; and sisters-in-law, Emily (George) Caes, Rose (Jake) Singlemann; and her grandson, Michael Wulf.
