We always enjoyed the Threshers Reunions when they were at Winston's place! Esther used to be my Kindergarten teacher at Burke #11 country school in 1941. So sorry to have them both gone now! May God's blessings be with you now and always. Jack and Eleanor (Paarmann) Arey

Dear Jean & Janet - I pray the Lord will comfort you and the other family and friends during this parting with Winston, who I saw as a very fine man who was quiet but always offered a smile and warm greeting when I attended the many years of family gatherings and dinners. Winston was a very talented gent and lived life on his own terms. We will all miss him and I will keep you all in my prayers.

Oh how I loved Winston....he reminded me so much of my own dad. I'm grateful he began coming to Sunrise where I got him to open up and became friends with him...enjoyed taking him to dinner a few times too. He will be missed greatly.

We have grown to love Winston through all the shared family get-togethers over the years, and we will miss his quiet presence. He was never one to dominate a conversation but when he spoke it was always powerful! His empty chair at the dinner table will be a sad reminder that he is gone. We are honored and blessed to have known him. May he rest in peace. Our sadness is eased to know he is experiencing joy in his reunion with Esther.

All my sympathy to Winston's relatives and friends. I always tried to see Wins when I came back to Dewitt. I enjoyed talking about the older Ford V-8's -- once giving him a ride in my 1936 roadster. One summer in HS I drove a tractor hauling hay to the barn for him.

I am sorry for your loss Janet and Jean. I remember the days that Winston would fire up a steam engine and drive it down the road in front of our house.
He will be missed.

Dear Jean and Janet. My thoughts are with you and your families at this time. Your dad was a wonderful man and I know you have many memories from over the years. The many years of the Steam Shows are part of Clinton County history and were enjoyed by thousands of people. Kudos to Winston, Lowell and Lloyd. My God bless you.
