Timothy C. Moore, 53, of DeWitt, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, September 22, 2018, in his home.
Tim was born September 21, 1965, in Iowa City, Iowa, to James and Charlotte Moore. He graduated from High School in Gilbert, Iowa, in 1984. He worked most of his life as a heavy equipment operator and truck driver. He married Kelly February 3, 1996.
His favorite times were those spent with friends and family, a family get together or attending one of the kid’s activities. He loved swapping stories with people and never knew a stranger. He loved hunting for deer and pheasant and was very proud of his hunting dog Shadow. He would say his worst day fishing was better than his best day at work. He would take every chance he could to get in a good game of Euchre. Most of all he loved every hour he could spend with the horses. At the barn or at the horse show, they were in his blood and he never passed an opportunity to share his love of them.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Samantha, Andrea, Amanda, and Makaila; his sons, Brandon and Matthew; brothers, Tom (Nancy) of Ames, Todd (Amy) of Gilbert, and Mike (Susan) of Huxley; uncles, Larry (Joan) Schoenbaum of Kelly, and Richard Schoenbaum of Boone; aunts, Judy (Jerry) Smith of Boone, and Sharon (Bob) Bellinghausen of Ames; nieces, nephews and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Memorial Visitation will be held from 10:00 until 11:45 a.m. Saturday, September 29, 2018, at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt, with a Memorial Service following at 12:00 noon in the funeral home.
