Ronald Frank Wiese

Ronald Wiese, 53, DeWitt, Iowa, died Wednesday morning, June 28, 2006 at home, following a battle with cancer.

Ronald Frank Wiese was born Friday, April 17, 1953 in Davenport, Iowa, to Donald and Erna (Schultz) Wiese. He graduated from Central High School, Davenport, and attended Iowa State University. Ron married the former Barbara Johnson, September 22, 1973 in Davenport. He owned and operated Wiese Appliance & TV, Inc. in DeWitt, and Tipton.

Ron was a member of Elvira Zion Lutheran Church and the DeWitt Chamber of Commerce. He loved his family dearly and was involved with his children's activites. Ron enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, raising animals and gardening.

Surviving are his loving wife of 32 years, Barbara; a son, Matthew, at home; two daughters, Stephanie Hinds and her husband, David, Davenport; Christine Wiese, at home; a sister, Marcia Mulkey and her husband, Ray, Springfield, Missouri; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Donald and Margaret Johnson, Bettendorf; two sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, Deborah Noble, Bloomingdale, Illinois, and Dave and Jeanne Johnson, Davenport; several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Ron in death were his parents.

Visitation will be held at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt, from 2 until 6 p.m. Sunday, July 2, 2006. Service of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Monday, July 3, 2006 at Elvira Zion Lutheran Church. The Rev. Walter Malkewitz officiating. Interment Pine Hill Cemetery, Davenport.
