Mary Lou was born August 29, 1930, to Walter and Gertrude (Campbell) Olson in Forest City, Iowa. She graduated from Forest City High School in 1948. She married William Richard Willrett on August 21, 1950, in Forest City. She worked as the office manager for Federal Land Bank in DeWitt for many years. Mary Lou was proud of the fact that she never had to apply for a job, she was always asked.
Mary Lou loved playing bridge, going to the casino, and keeping a beautiful flower garden. After she retired, she enjoyed the warm winters in Phoenix, AZ and returned to DeWitt in the spring.
She is survived by her husband, Bill; her children, Doug (Cindy) Willrett of Cross Plains, Wisconsin, Debra (Douglas Boyle) Willrett of Palo Alto, California, Daryl Willrett of Clinton, IA; grandchildren, Mason, Brock, Grant Willrett, Lauren, Chelsea, and Jeff Young, and Connor Willrett; 4 great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard Olson; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Arline (Donald) Peck.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
