Frank Busch, 70, of DeWitt, Iowa, died Monday afternoon, June 26, 2017, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.

Frank Everett Busch, Jr. was born May 25, 1947, in New York, New York to Frank and Julia (Hughes) Busch.  He graduated from William E. Grady Vocational Technical High School in Brooklyn, New York.  Frank served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era from 1967 until 1970 and served again from 1973 until 1993 which included Operation Desert Storm.  Following his honorable discharge, Frank was employed by the United States Postal Service in Clinton and Milan until retirement in 2009.  On December 15, 1989, he was united in marriage to Karen Hoffmann in Killeen, Texas.   The couple resided in Texas and Germany, until moving to DeWitt in 1993.   Karen preceded Frank in death December 19, 2003.

He loved cars of many types, especially Corvettes.  Frank also enjoyed Harley Davidson motorcycles.  He was a member of the Corvette Club of the Midwest and the American Legion.  Frank enjoyed reading, visiting with his friends and drinking coffee at McDonald's.

Surviving are his daughter, Laura Busch and her fiancé, Clint Kauffman; his mother, Julia Busch; his mothers-in-law, Elaina Lomsdalen and Marie Hoffmann; a sister-in-law, Becky Kitchen all of DeWitt and a brother-in-law, Ben (Jenny) Hoffmann of Brookings, South Dakota; nieces and nephews in Iowa and other relatives on the east coast.  

Preceding Frank in death in addition to his wife, Karen were his father, Frank; fathers-in-law, Delbert Hoffmann and Robert Lomsdalen and his grandparents.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 29, 2017.  A service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 30, 2017 at Emmaus Road Church, DeWitt with Pastor Paul Lang officiating.  Burial and military rites will be at Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt.

Pallbearers will be Dallas Skeel, John Barr, Helen Kitchen, Hailey Kitchen, Paul Ketelsen, Carl Ketelsen and Jim Clark.
