Ellen Marie Newmarch

Ellen Marie Newmarch 84, a long-time resident of the Dewitt and Iowa City areas, passed away Friday, November 2, 2018, at University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City.

Ellen was born to Clifford and Sabina Rockwell on June 17, 1934, in Jackson County, Iowa.

Ellen loved spending time with her family, going out to eat, collecting elephants and buttons, reading and socializing. She dearly loved her family and friends. She had a wonderful smile that could light up a room and will be missed by all of those who loved her.

She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Dusil (Gary) of Cedar Rapids, Pamella Galloway of Iowa City, Beverly Mrstik of Tiffin, and Julie Waters (Gerald) of Dixon; a brother Gerald Rockwell (Phyllis) of Maquoketa; brother-in-law, Michael Myers; thirteen grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her husband Lloyd Newmarch, of Dewitt, her former husband Gerald Myers, her parents, three sisters, one brother, four brothers-in-law, one sister-in-law and a son-in-law.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at Schultz Funeral Home, 722 8th Street, DeWitt, IA 52742, with a service following at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt.
