Douglas Allen Knight

Doug Knight, 67 of Eldridge, Iowa, died Wednesday morning, October 11, 2017, in his home.

Douglas Allen Knight was born December 7, 1949,  in Clinton to Robert and Maxine (Waugh) Knight.  He was a 1968 graduate of DeWitt High School and studied  electronic technology at Scott Community College.  Doug served four years in the United States Air Force.  He married Connie Little on July 25, 1970, at the United Methodist Church, DeWitt.  Doug was employed by the Federal Aviation Administration as an electronics technician, retiring following 35 years of service. 

He enjoyed Ham Radio, fishing, camping and spending time at the shooting range.  Doug was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.

Surviving are his wife, Connie; children, David Knight of Los Angeles, California, and Christine (Casey) Jones of Durant; grandchildren, Meghanne Knight, Collin Knight, Gavin Knight, Aubrey Knight, Brock Jones, Jada Jones, Avery Jones and Mason Jones; a great-grandson, Jonah.

He was preceded in death by a son, Eric and his parents.

The family will receive friends at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 13, 2017.  A service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 14, 2017, at the funeral home.  Military rites and burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt.
