While I did not work with Doug directly, he being based at the Quad Cities Airport and I at Peoria, I did cross paths with Doug throughout our career years in FAA often enough at meetings and other work related events and post retirement at a couple of lunch get-togethers. Personable and friendly. Humorous, in his unique way. Doug's easy to be with.

It is hard to hear of a classmate's passing and leaves one with a profound feeling of sadness.
I extend to Doug's family my heartfelt condolences. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers as you go through this difficult time.

Oo ee oo ah tookie tookie
That's what I'd say to Dougie, that's what I called him. Don Lynch and I used to laugh when he'd say "that'll doit"
He could fix stuff i gave up on. We all are living on Gods time and we must continue
and cherish our memories.
