Please accept our deepest sympathy for Bette's passing. You two came into our lives when Dave and I were 17 yrs old and we looked up to you both. From then on, we called you "friend" and later even neighbor. Bette will be greatly missed!!

One of the joys of being a school admistrator was hiring great teachers with great families. Bernie was hired by the Calamus School District in 1970. The bonus with the hire was Bette. She immediately became an important part of the success. She was involved with students and the community then and up to here death. She will be missed. As the saying goes, Gone but not forgotten. What a loss! Bette Ann was such a sweet light for Jesus! Although, we are cousins, it took Facebook to get us together again. My mother moved me to Texas when I was a teenager, so I only remember Bette Ann as a child; however, we became so close on Facebook, when she figured out we were cousins! We will meet again in heaven! My thoughts & prayers are with the family!

We know that Betty is resting in God's paradise that we are all longing for. Betty was always a gracious host and welcoming to new couples into the community. We will miss her humor and her knowledge of the bible and how to relate to everyday life. We are praying for Bernie and his family as they move through this tough time and seek God's guidance.
