Allen James Block

Allen James Block, 48, of DeWitt, Iowa, died Friday, June 28, 2019, at home.

He was born June 4, 1971, in Waupun, Wisconsin, to James and Sharon (Svacina) Block.  Al attended Clinton Schools most of his life.  He was in the trucking industry for many years, which was his passion.  In addition to driving truck, he enjoyed woodworking, cooking and boating. 

Surviving are children, Jessica Levrouw of Silvis, Illinois, Josh (Christina) Peters of Davenport,Hailey Block, Mikayla Block and Bryce Block all of Cedar Rapids; a stepson, Zachary Grant of Davenport; his mother, Sharon Block of Beaver; brothers, Kenneth Block of Atlantic and Mike (Emily) Block of Marshalltown; grandchildren, Caiden Cookson and Awstyn Peters; paternal grandparents, Elbert and Donna Block of Richland Center, Wisconsin; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceding him in death were his father and maternal grandparents, Bill and Betty Svacina.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 5, 2019, at Clinton Lawn Cemetery with interment to follow.
