Patrick Bousselot Obituary

Patrick Bousselot, 62, of Morrison, Illinois, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home early Saturday, March 2, 2024.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the service time of 12:00 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2024, at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt. Sister Janet Heiar, SSND, officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Grand Mound.

Patrick Dorance Bousselot was born April 30, 1961, in DeWitt, Iowa, the 7th son and 11th of 12 children born to Victory and Mary (Kane) Bousselot. He graduated from Central Community Schools in DeWitt in 1980. Pat married Mary Handy Graham on June 20, 1992. He worked in Clinton, retiring in 2011 due to health issues.

Pat enjoyed hunting pheasants, duck and geese, woodworking, making shelves, grilling out, and watching western shows and movies, especially John Wayne. He was very proud of his truck, and liked going to breweries and wineries, especially Rocky Waters in Hanover, or as Pat called it, “Hangover”. He loved spending time visiting with family and friends.

Surviving are his wife, Mary; step-daughter, Angela (Mike) Pyron of Bettendorf; 9 step-grandchildren; sisters, Mary (David) Keil of DeWitt, Barbara (Terry) McSherry of Phoenix, Arizona, Teish (Dan) Stafne of West St. Paul, Minnesota, Jacqueline (Mark) Jacobsen of DeWitt; brothers, Richard (Marci) Bousselot of Apache Junction, Arizona, Stephen (Dena Manderscheid) Bousselot of Delmar, Thomas (Rita) Bousselot Calamus, Francis “Frank” (Fran) Bousselot of Hamilton, Alabama, Philip (Mary) Bousselot of DeWitt, brother-in-law, James Keil of Wheatland; brother and sister in-law, Kenneth Handy of Clinton and Janis (Steve) Bratthauer of Bryant; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, step-son, Joshua Graham, step-granddaughter, Ashley MacLennan, sister, Sally Keil, brother James Bousselot, niece, Valerie Bousselot, brother-in-law, Thomas Handy, and sisters-in-law, Susan Bousselot, Carolyn Buikema, and Dixie Handy.
