Tim Hunter, 62, of DeWitt, died Friday morning, November 20, 2015, at Mercy Medical Center, Clinton.

Charles Timothy Budde Hunter was born July 15, 1953, in DeWitt, Iowa, to Charles and Yvonne (Budde) Hunter.  He attended St. Joseph School and was a graduate of Central Community Schools.  Tim went on receiving a degree in Agronomy from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.  He worked for the Cumberland Farmers Union in Cumberland, Wisconsin, the DeWitt Farm Store and Naylor Seed Company in Scotch Grove, Iowa.  He married Susan Hesse on August 13, 1983, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, DeWitt.

Tim was a lifetime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, DeWitt and a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus.  He also volunteered at the DeWitt Referral Center.  Tim enjoyed fishing, gardening, and traveling to see family and friends.  His family meant the world to him and he loved his son, Sean dearly.  

Surviving are his son, Sean of Davenport and granddaughter, Oakley; siblings, Mike (Sheila) of Bellevue, Lynne (Magdi) Ishak of Southboro, Massachusetts, Steven (Mary Ellen) of Davenport and Patrick (Chris) of DeWitt; nieces and nephews.

Preceding Tim in death were his parents.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 23, 2015, with a Knights of Columbus rosary at 3:45 p.m. and a vigil service at 7:00 p.m.  A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, DeWitt, with the Rev. Fr. Paul Connolly officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Hunter, Chris Hunter, John Hunter, Andy Hunter, Tom Hunter, Todd Hunter, Tony Ishak and Mark Ishak.

Memorials are suggested to Pathways Living Center or St. Joseph Catholic Church.
