Suzanne Marie (Kane) Weller

Suzanne M. Weller, 73, of DeWitt, Iowa, died Wednesday afternoon, August 23, 2017, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.

Suzanne Marie Weller was born August 28, 1943, in Davenport to Frances and Florence (Crowly) Kane.  She was a 1961 graduate of St. Joseph High School, DeWitt.  Sue married Roger Weller October 19, 1968, at St. Ann Catholic Church, Long Grove.  The couple resided at rural DeWitt where they raised their family.  Sue was employed at DeWitt Bank & Trust for 21 years until retirement.  Her husband preceded her in death January 10, 2017.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, DeWitt and the Altar and Rosary Society.  Sue enjoyed archery hunting, fishing, feeding the birds, reading and spending time with a dear friend, Darlene. 

Surviving are her son, Jeffery Weller of Davenport; a sister, Kathy Grimes of Bettendorf; a brother, Jim (Peggy) Kane of Long Grove; a sister-in-law, Joyce Clark of Milan, Illinois; cousins, nephews and nieces.

In addition to her husband, Sue was preceded in death by her parents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be at St. Joseph Church, DeWitt from 9:00 until 10:15 a.m. Monday, August 28, 2017, with a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in the church.  Burial will be at St. Ann Catholic Cemetery, Long Grove.
