Pamela Sue Danley, 58, of DeWitt, Iowa, went Home with Jesus early Sunday morning, July 19, 2015 at Lantern Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Coralville, Iowa, following a two year battle with cancer.

Pam was born April 3, 1957, in Topeka, Kansas, to Glenn Arthur and Helen Leah (Teffeteller) Beasterfield. She grew up on a farm and studied pre-nursing at Sterling College in Kansas. Pam was united in marriage to Casey Edward Danley on August 20, 1977, at the Evangelical Mennonite Church in Sterling, Kansas. To them were born two daughters, Rachel and Sarah. The Danleys moved to DeWitt in 1997 where Casey was pastor of DeWitt Evangelical Free Church. Pam worked at Subway in DeWitt for three years and then has served since 2002 as the Children’s Librarian at Frances Banta Waggoner Community Library in DeWitt.

She was a committed follower of Jesus Christ, and found much joy in being a wife, mother, pastor’s wife, and most recently a grandmother to Aria. She also enjoyed gardening, home decorating, reading, genealogy, traveling, lighthouses and pet cat, Chloe.

Pam is survived by her husband, Casey; daughters, Rachel Danley of Waterloo, Iowa, and Sarah (Jared) King and their daughter, Aria of Iowa City, Iowa; her mother Helen Benson of Mayetta, Kansas; brothers, Ray (Bev) Beasterfield of Johnson, Nebraska and Ira (Marcia) Beasterfield of Rib Lake, Wisconsin; nieces and nephews, Adam Beasterfield, Beth (Andrew) Muri, Joy (Jonah) Pals and their daughter, Aniya, Katy Beasterfield and Rob Beasterfield.

Pam was preceded in death by her father, and a stillborn child.

The family will receive relatives and friends at DeWitt Evangelical Free Church from 9:00 until 9:45 a.m. Saturday, August 1.  A service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, at that church with Pastor Tom Loyola officiating.  Memorials may be made to the ministry of Grace Global Partners c/o DeWitt Bank & Trust Company PO Box 260  DeWitt, Iowa 52742.
