Molly Lou (Kennedy) Walker

Molly Lou Walker, 59, of Delmar, Iowa, died Monday, April 25, 2016, at Jackson County Regional Health Center in Maquoketa.

Molly was born June 22, 1956, to Melvin and Elneta (Ihrig) Kennedy in Maquoketa. She was united in marriage to Dennis Walker on December 8, 1973, at Grace Lutheran Church in DeWitt. Molly graduated from DeWitt Central High School in 1975. She worked a number of years for Pacific Coast Feather in Maquoketa, and was currently employed at Car Freshener in DeWitt.

Molly enjoyed sewing, making baby blankets and quilts, attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, and going to the casino with her mom and sisters.

Molly is survived by her husband of 42 years, Dennis; children, Heather (Robert) Waack of Maquoketa, Jessi (John Molitor) Walker of Maquoketa, Melissa (Shane) DeLong of Clinton, George (Denica) Walker of Lemoore, California, and Jeremy Walker of Welton; 17 grandchildren; her mother, Elneta Kennedy; sisters, JoAnn (Robert) Loose, and Joy Rothbart; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, a brother and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 28, 2016, at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt.  A Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt.
