Michelle Renee Glasz

Michelle Renee Glasz, 54, of DeWitt, Iowa, died Tuesday morning, June 13, 2017, at home.

She was born November 27, 1962, Estherville, Iowa, to Bernie and Betty (Olsen) Marcks.  Michelle was a 1981 graduate of Marshall High School in Minnesota.  She went on to graduate from Drake University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts in Pharmacy and Creighton University in 2001 with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree.  Michelle married Daniel Henscheid in June of 1988 in Marshall, Minnesota.  She later married Brian Glasz on May 21, 1998 in Omaha, Nebraska.  Michelle worked as a Pharmacist at hospitals in Des Moines, Canby, Minnesota, Clinton, DeWitt and Davenport. 

She loved spending time with her granddaughter, baking cookies to give away, animals, especially horses and dogs and enjoyed bicycling, gardening and camping.  Michelle looked forward to participating in RAGBRAI each year.

Surviving are sons, Derek (Alyssa) Henscheid of Iowa City, Aaron Henscheid and Alex Henscheid of DesMoines, and Gavin Glasz of DeWitt; a granddaughter, Jenna Henscheid; her mother, Betty Westberg of Davenport; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bill and Madonna Glasz of Henderson, Nevada.

Preceding Michelle in death were her father, Bernie Marcks and her step-father, Jerry Westberg.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 24, 2017.  There will be no service.
