Mary Louise Lichtenstein was born January 9, 1923, to Earl and Flossie (Davis) Watson at Ollie, Iowa. Her mother passed away one week later. Louise was raised by her maternal grandparents. She married Morris Dammerman, the father of her three children, in 1938. They spent their early years in the Richland, Iowa, area moving with their young family to Grand Mound in 1951. Louise worked in DeWitt at Warneckes Café for three years and Walkers Department Store for 18 years. She later married Don Fey and Glenn Lichtenstein, all predeceased her.

Louise was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Grand Mound and the Grand Mound American Legion Auxiliary, serving in local and county offices.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol Galloway of Grand Mound; a daughter-in-law Marsha Dammerman of Florida; step-children Russ (Leona) Fey of Arizona and  Carol (Jim) Clark of DeWitt; grandchildren, Scott Galloway, Wendi Galloway, David (Judy) Dammerman, Heather (David) Wesoloski, Mark (Catherine) Fey, Sarah Fey, Tammy, Larry, Brad, and Kevin Dammerman; a sister Audrey (Norm) Vinyard of Texas; much loved great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by special “extended” family, Pat Dammerman, Randy and Joanne Burmester and their family, Phyllis Finn, and a dear friend Rosie

Louise was preceded in death by her step mother, Aurelia Watson, her brothers, and her sister, Roberta Nelson in 2015. She was also preceded in death by her precious sons Larry Dammerman in 1969 and Dennis Dammerman in 2013, and her beloved son-in-law, Dwain Galloway in 2013. Along with her Lord, Louise has many loving arms welcoming her.

Louise was blessed to have many devoted caretakers, friends, and neighbors who along with her family greatly enriched her life.
