Larry Dean Schlemmer

Larry Dean Schlemmer, 62, of DeWitt, Iowa, died Wednesday, April 13, 2016, in Davenport.

Larry Schlemmer was born January 8, 1954, to Carl and Lucille (Coleman) Schlemmer in Cedar Bluff, Iowa. He married Janet Levien on February 14, 1981. Larry worked as a truck driver for many years.

Larry had a great love for animals, especially his dog, Ginger. He also enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting.

Survivors include his daughter, Meagan Schlemmer of Clinton; siblings, Earnie (Betty) of Cedar Rapids, John Schlemmer of Grundy Center, and Bonnie (Ron) Paige of Davenport; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Crystal; his parents; and brothers, Bill and Marvin.

Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:45 p.m. Monday, April 18, 2016, at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt. A Funeral Service will follow at 3:00 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt.
