Kathryn L. Foreman, 54, of DeWitt, died Thursday evening, January 21, 2016, at Westwing Place, DeWitt.

The former Kathryn Louise Clong was born January 15, 1962, in Kewanee, Illinois, to Phillip Arthur and Amelia Mary (Wysowski) Clong.  She was a 1980 graduate of Kewanee High School and attended Illinois State University.  Kathy worked as a cake decorator for much of her life.  She was employed by Eagle Foods and Hy-Vee for many years.  Kathy managed the bakery at Schnuck’s Foods in Bettendorf.

She was previously married to Richard Mayerhofer and was united in marriage to Fred Foreman on June 20, 2014.

Kathy loved NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt, Sr. and Jr.  She was independent and had a very strong loving character.  She was a talented artist which flowed over to her cake decorating.  To sum it up, Kathy was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend who will be greatly missed.

Surviving are her husband, Fred; children, Mara Martin of Durant and Aubry Mayerhofer of Davenport; stepchildren, Zachariah Foreman of Cedar Falls and Amanda Foreman of Leighton; grandchildren, Axel Martin; siblings, Edmund Clong of Bettendorf, Rosanne (David) Anderson of Kewanee, Christopher Loughe of Morton, Illinois; nieces and nephews.

Preceding Kathy in death were her parents and a brother, Mark Clong.

Family and friends may visit at the United Methodist Church, DeWitt, from 11:00 a.m. until the service at 12:00 noon Tuesday, January 26th.  Pastor Tom Boomershine will officiate. Interment will be at  Pleasant View Cemetery in Kewanee.
