Janet Marie (McManus) Campbell

Janet Marie Campbell, 67, of DeWitt, died early Friday morning, January 22, 2016, at home.
 
She was born July 1, 1948, in DeWitt, the fourth of six children to Edward Eugene and Edna Mae (Cooper) McManus.  She was a 1966 graduate of St. Joseph High School in DeWitt.  Janet resided in DeWitt all of her life where she raised her three daughters.  She was employed at Scott Drug and the Referral Center in DeWitt for many years.
 
Janet was a hard worker and was loved by so many.  She cherished her family and friends.  Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy.  Janet was extremely generous in so many ways; with her love, compassion, knowledge and talents.  She was happiest when helping others.  Janet would love to be remembered for her laugh, smile and loving heart.
 
Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Laurie and Johnny Nelson of Rockford, Illinois, Shiela and Greg Ginn of Roscoe, Illinois, and Molly and Rick Shukis of Colorado Springs, Colorado; grandchildren, Kari Doss, Justin Doss, Evan Doss, Lauren Ginn, Mandy Ginn, Abby Ginn, Ryan Shukis and Alex Shukis; great-grandchildren, Karianna Valentine and Uriah Shukis; sisters, Vicky (Duane) Poell of DeWitt and Roberta Peters of Cedar Rapids; a brother, Richard of Sunrise, Florida; a sister-in-law, Mary Kay McManus of DeWitt and a brother-in-law, David Sackett of Alamogordo, New Mexico; many nieces and nephews.
 
Preceding Janet in death were her parents, a brother, Michael, a sister, Judy Brown Sackett and a nephew, Gabe McManus.
 
The family will greet relatives and friends at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 29th with a vigil service at 7:00 p.m.  A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 30th, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, DeWitt with the Rev. Fr. Paul Connolly officiating.  Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Grand Mound.
