Miss Thomas was my 3rd grade teacher at Pleasant View Elementary. Over the years I had wished I cold locatemperatures her to say thank you for the profoundly positive impact she had on my life. I was never able to find her. And in my search today, came upon her obituary.

It makes me sad that such a bright light... such a powerful spirit is no longer here on Earth.

My condolences to her family and friends.

I will always remember her fondly.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Jane was my 3rd grade teacher at Pleasant View school. I was chosen that year to introduce her at a school event (not sure what it was). I still remember my introduction:"I would like to introduce my teacher, Miss Jane Thomas. She received her bachelors of art degree from the University of Northern Iowa. Her home town is Tipton, Iowa." She was a wonderful teacher!

To Jane's family
I knew her from school. She always seemed to be positive and had a smile. Very kind and caring. I didn't realize she had been struggling with her health.
My sympathy as you move through these difficult times.

I always enjoyed visiting with Jane at the DeWitt library. We shared the same taste in books and I often got good suggestions from Jane on what to read next or suggest to other patrons. Sympathy to all.

To all the family. So sorry for your loss. As I get older I think about so many former students that have passed. One should not complain about getting older. It is a privilege denied to so many. Good memories of Jane and many other members of her family. Best wishes always. Glenn

To the family of Jane Reed-
I remember what my father told me when I was 10 years old. We are all put on this earth for a purpose, when we have fulfilled that purpose we are giving life everlasting. Your mother, grandmother, sister, aunt has fulfilled her purpose and now is reunited with those who have gone before her. May her memories fill the void that her passing has left. May God give you energy to see you thru until you meet again.

Having your mother for a church going friend at Petersville, and then again, as a neighbor, was such a blessing for me. Jane was such a great worker, teacher, and neighbor. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all.
