Jack Owen Holmes

Jack Owen Holmes, 86, formerly of DeWitt, Iowa, died early Sunday morning, March 5, 2017, at Good Samaritan Society, Davenport.
He was born May 25, 1930 in DeWitt to Ezra and Linda (Florence) Holmes. Jack was employed at the Handicapped Development Center in Davenport until retirement. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. Jack was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and Iowa Hawkeyes. Early in life, he was a model railroad enthusiast.
Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding Jack in death were his parents and siblings, Charles Holmes, Ezra Holmes, Jr., Lois Bousselot, James Holmes, Philip Holmes and Phyllis Fox,
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 10, 2017, at Elmwood Cemetery DeWitt.
