Harold E. "Buddy" Huntley

Harold E. "Buddy" Huntley, 73, of West Des Moines, Iowa, formerly of Coal Valley, Illinois, passed away peacefully Friday morning, January 13, 2017, at Glen Oaks Care Center in Urbandale.

Visitation will be from 10:00 until 11:45 a.m. Saturday, January 21, 2017, at Faith Lutheran Church in Moline, Illinois. A Service of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 in the church. Burial will be at Jordan Cemetery in West Des Moines at a later date.

Harold was born May 30,1943, in Burlington, IA, the son of Harold S. and Marian (Lange) Huntley. He married Elizabeth Gallop on June 23,1973, at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Winnipeg MB, Canada. Harold worked for the Moline School District, Rodman Lab and John Deere Distribution Center.

He enjoyed gardening, growing tomatoes, electronics and traveling.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth; children, Barry (Melissa) Huntley, Hillsboro, OR and Rosemary (Russell) Gibson, West Des Moines, IA and 8 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the family.
