Duane "Buddy" Allen Frahm

Duane Allen “Buddy” Frahm, 64, of Low Moor, Iowa, died early Monday morning, August 14, 2017, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born July 21, 1953 in Bennett to Roger and Helen (Scheper) Frahm.  Buddy drove truck much of his life and currently owned and operated Duane Frahm Trucking of Low Moor.  He married LaDonna Rogers July 15, 2017, in DeWitt.

Buddy loved trucking, hotrods and drag racing.  He was currently in the process of building a S10 hotrod.  Buddy’s favorite color was chrome. He liked Westerns, John Wayne movies, and aggravating his siblings.

Surviving are his wife, LaDonna; children, Duane, Jr. (Stephanie) Frahm of Forsyth, Missouri, Emily (Brendan) Frahm, Curtis (Jessica) Hass and Becky (Nathan) Mickelson all of DeWitt, James (Dee) Owens of Low Moor and Rick Owens of Davenport; grandchildren, Austin and Tyler Frahm; siblings, Judy Bartlett, Tammy (Frank) Mervine and Terry Frahm; closest friends, Clifford Simpson and Hank Stauffenberg; several nieces and nephews. 

Preceding Buddy in death were his parents and grandparents; a brother, Roland; mother-in-law, Dorothy Meggers; father-in-law, James Rogers and a nephew.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 18, 2017.  A service will be held at 10:30 Saturday, August 19, 2017, in the funeral home.
