Diane Rae (Busch) Wold

Diane R. (Mrs. Rodney) Wold, 69, of DeWitt, Iowa, died peacefully Wednesday morning, November 18, 2015, in her home.

Diane Rae Busch was born May 7, 1946, in Lost Nation, Iowa to Vernie and Dorothy (Andresen) Busch.  She was a graduate of Elwood High School. On June 10, 1967, Diane was united in marriage to Rodney Wold at Grace Lutheran Church, DeWitt.  Together they owned and operated Wold’s Service Station in DeWitt.  Diane previously had worked for Jerry’s Electric and was a cook at the former DeWitt Community Hospital.

She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, DeWitt where she was secretary of the Sunday School for many years.  Diane enjoyed counted cross-stitch, ceramics and family time.

Surviving are her husband, Rodney; a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Josh Ivanoff of Fort Worth, Texas; brothers, Don Busch and Alan (Julie) Busch of Clinton, Iowa; sisters, Karen (Kenneth) Fanderclai of Fulton, Illinois, LaRaine (Dennis) Mumm of DeWitt and Cheryl Koenes of Camanche, Iowa; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dave (Barb) Wold of DeWitt, Jack (Cindy) Wold of Donahue, Iowa, Sharon Wold of DeWitt, and Joanne Busch of Idaho; nieces and nephews.

Preceding Diane in death were her parents; an infant brother, Dennis; a brother, Larry; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Orville and Lois Wold; nephews, Doug, Dennis and John Wold, Brian Mumm and Jim Pawski;  great-nephews, Justin Wold and Lucas Jewett.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt, from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. Sunday, November 22nd.  A Service of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 23rd at Grace Lutheran Church, DeWitt with the Rev. Steven Anderson officiating.  Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt.

Pallbearers will be Mike Mumm, Josh Wold, Jared Wold, Scott Jansen, Kevin Jansen, Troy Thrnburg and Scott Pawski.
