David Alyn Eberhart

David A. Eberhart, 68, of Delmar, Iowa, died early Sunday morning, June 26, 2016 at Manor Care, Dubuque in the comfort of his loved ones.

David Alyn Eberhart was born February 10, 1948, in Clinton to William and Vineda (Kammerer) Eberhart.   He was a graduate of Northeast High School, Goose Lake.  Dave served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  He worked in numerous jobs prior to retiring as a Saw Operator at Wady Industries, Maquoketa.

He enjoyed horses, NASCAR and the Old Thresher’s Reunion.  Family was very important to Dave and he loved spending time with them.

Surviving are children, Scott (Theresa Ballew) Eberhart of Oxford Junction, Anthony (Kari) Eberhart of DeWitt, Sarah (Bryan) Clark and Samantha (Joe) Rubel of Maquoketa; 12 grandchildren and a great-grandson; sisters, Donna Eberhart of Delmar and LuAnn Johnson of Maquoketa; brothers, Dan (Catherine) Eberhart of DeWitt, Daryl (Lou Ann) Eberhart of Delmar and Robert (Jacalyn) Eberhart of DeSoto, Missouri; numerous nieces and nephews. 

Preceding David in death were his parents.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 1st.  A service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 2nd in the funeral home.  Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Delmar.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Eberhart, Brent Eberhart, Lee Eberhart, Brandon Eberhart, Dustin Eberhart, Bryce Eberhart, Robert John Eberhart, Benjamin Joel Eberhart and Jamie Eberhart.  Honorary pallbearer will be Cody Specht.
