Beverly (Mrs. Dean) Frey, 66, of DeWitt, Iowa, passed peacefully from this life to her Heavenly Home the evening of May 11th, 2016, surrounded by her loving family.

The former Beverly Jean Berthel was born July 28th, 1949, in Clinton to Gerald and Verna (Hoffman) Berthel. She attended Delwood Community Schools.  On February 24, 1968, Bev was united in marriage to Dean Frey at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Delmar. Beverly loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and attended Harvest Bible Chapel in Davenport. Beverly was passionate and devoted to her study of the Word of God and loved her bible studies with others.  She cherished her time with family and friends and never missed an opportunity to tell them “U R Loved”.  She enjoyed playing games with her grandchildren, sister weekends, disco dancing with her husband, storytelling, coffee time with friends and taking full advantage of unlimited cell phone limits.  Beverly delighted in the gift of life, and the fifty years she spent with her loving husband Dean.

Preceding Bev in death were her father, Gerald Berthel; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Arthur and BeElda (Blackman) Frey and an infant grandson, Colton Dean Schroeder.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Harvest Bible Chapel, Davenport, from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m., Sunday, May 15th and again from 9:45 until 10:45 a.m. Monday, May 16th.
