Allen Harold Glover

Allen Harold Glover, 71, of Donahue, Iowa, died early Thursday morning, February 16, 2017, at Genesis Medical Center-East Campus, Davenport.

He was born June 9, 1945, in Davenport to Arno and Erma (Dohse) Glover.  Al graduated from North Scott High School in 1963 and served in the United States Army Reserve.   On June 8, 1969, he married Linda Duke at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, rural Calamus.  The couple farmed and raised their family at rural Donahue.  Linda preceded Al in death December 15, 2002.

He loved farming, International tractors, tractor gatherings, farm auctions, dancing at Fairyland, playing checkers and good food.

Surviving are children, Shane (Amy) Glover of Parkview, Sena (Kevin) Hagedorn of Long Grove, Cheyanne (Nick) Kalainoff of Portland, Oregon, Salem Glover of Donahue, Max (Courtney) Glover of Eldridge; grandchildren, Maia, Hailey and Nora Glover, Ava, Hattie, Yorton and Obadiah Hagedorn, Cora and Evan Kalainoff and Gage and Kenny Glover.

Preceding Allen in death in addition to his wife were his parents and a brother, Ken.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt from 9:00 until 10:45 a.m. Monday, February 20, 2017.  A service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with Pastor Mark Zevenbergen officiating.  Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt.
